The Council

Hertford Town Council is based at Hertford Castle;a civil wedding venue and rooms to hire. Family events throughout the year. The council is responsible for allotments, Hertford Cemetery and the Tourist Information Centre. |

Hertford Town Council is looking for a driven and experienced Marketing and Events Manager to develop and deliver a marketing plan and manage our events programme in conjunction with the Town Clerk and Councillors. Click here for more details
Rock at the Castle is now a well established part of Hertford Town Council's annual events programme, and nearly £22,000 has been raised for local charities over the past 7 years.
Once again, the Council is offering the opportunity to local charities and organisations to apply to be the Rock at the Castle charity for 2013, which this year takes place on Sunday 4th August 2013, in the grounds of Hertford Castle.

Councillor Surgeries
Town Councillors for the Kingsmead Ward are attending monthly surguries at the Pineshurst community hall on the second Saturday each month. The next surgery is Saturday 8th June starting at 10.00am.
Town Councillors for the Sele Ward are attending monthly surguries at the Community Office in Flemming Crescent on the first Saturday each month. The next surgery is Saturday 1st June from 10.00am to 11.00am.
The Town Council provides a diverse range of local services for residents in Hertford, Bengeo and Hertingfordbury village. These include responsibility for allotments at six sites, maintaining Hertford's cemetery and the closed churchyards, providing town centre CCTV cameras and the maintenance of the war memorial.
The Council runs the Town & Tourist Information Centre in the town centre, and runs a programme of community events within Hertford Castle and its grounds. The Castle is home to the Town Council, and a number of its historic rooms are available to hire for weddings, family celebrations and corporate bookings.
